Chris Pratt of Nintendo announced that he would voice Mario in his next film in September. Chris at the time stated how he had "worked hard" to improve the character''s voice, but we''re still not sure what it sounds like.
Pratt has spoken once more about making Mario vocal, this time stating how he''s "really proud" of the voice, and that it''s "unlike anything you''ve ever heard in the Mario world."
Here''s exactly what he had to say about it:
I worked really hard with the directors, landed on something that Im really proud of and cant wait for people to see and hear...It''s not a live-action film. Im not going to be wearing a plumber suit all over. Im giving a voice for an animated character, and it''s constantly updating and unlike anything you''ve ever heard in the Mario world.
Illumination''s CEO and co-producer Chris Meledandri said just earlier this week that the voice was "phenomenal." He also noted that the film was now "three quarters done."
The super Mario film will debut next year in cinemas, with Charlie Day (Pacific Rim) as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy (The Queen''s Gambit) as Princess Peach, Jack Black (School of Rock) as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key (Toy Story 4) as Toad and Seth Rogan (Pineapple Express) as Donkey Kong.
