Seth MacFarlane has announced that he has modified a planned script for this season into a novella, and it is now available for pre-order on July 19th. (You can also purchase a pre-order in e-book or audio format here.) The Orville: Sympathy for the Devil is a standalone story that is set following the events of season 3 episode 8.

The real reason for this being released as a novella rather than on Hulu? It''s simple: This story was reduced because to the global health catastrophe shutting things down. Whether it be the onset of the crisis or the number of instances in this series, or the lack of some of them, this was a difficult show to pull off. Were just pleased it is now, and the episodes are remarkable. It is enough to easily make us want another season, although the cast is still open to seeking further opportunities.

A family of forty-somethings was just happy have the season we do at the moment, and that there is still a lot of work to be done.
