Seattle Seawolves vs Rugby New York Preview

In their own backyard, Rugby New York takes on their first final on the east coast.

After tries from Benja Bonasso, Nehe Milner-Skudder, and Andrew Coe ignited a rally that ended up winning 24-16 against the New England Free Jacks in Quincy, Massachusetts last Sunday.

New York beat Seattle in their lone encounter this season as they defeated them 30-22 over at JFK Stadium.

The Seawolves also know how to take the time to recover to win their third championship. For the Seawolves, their journey was cross-country as they seek to exit the MLR Shield. Just a month ago, the Seawolves seemed to be out of the title race.

Yet in the past few matches, they were able to improve in their final game of the regular season against the Houston SaberCats, who won 46-27 in the Western Conference final. The Allen Clarkes team was knocked out of contention for the postseason.

Seattle was the home side in their Eliminator Round encounter with the San Diego Legion when the Texas Gilgronis were disqualified, and shortly several weeks later, the team will travel to the east coast in hopes of adding a third star to their jersey after two very difficult seasons.
