Saoirse Ronan and Sam Rockwell Solve a 50s Murder Mystery in the Trailer How They Run ...

Meet Stoppard and Constable, the go-to detective duo of London in the 1950s, forget Sherlock and Holmes.

As the two inspectors hired to tackle a string of murders, Sam Rockwell and Saoirse Ronan star as the killer targets members of a popular West End play in See How They Run, which is now available from Searchlight.

A keen Hollywood producer proposes to transform a popular play into a documentary. The only obstacle is that the actors are killed one by one.

The official logline states that plans for a film adaptation of a smash hit play have come to an abrupt halt as a pivotal member of the cast is murdered. When world-weary inspector Stoppard (Rockwell) and eager rookie Constable Stalker (Ronan) examine the case, the two find themselves thrown into a worrisome whodunnit in the terrifying theater underground, which is at their own risk.

Adrien Brody, David Oyelowo, Ruth Wilson, Harris Dickinson, Shirley Henderson, Sian Clifford, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Reece Shearsmith, and Charlie Cooper star in the ensemble adolescent portraying the victims, one of whom might be a murderer.

Tom George prepares to direct a feature film called See How They Run through a script written by Mark Chappell. After directing This Country and Defending the Guilty, George makes his feature debut.

Searchlight Pictures is based on the series See How They Run, which stars Ronan in a similar dark comedy scene, returning to Shes Anderson''s Wes Anderson collaborations in The Grand Budapest Hotel and The French Dispatch. Both films are set on the same farms, with Foe examining the impact of climate change and The Outrun as a farmcoming.

See How They Run ushers in the fall awards season''s buzz for crime caper films with a release date centered on Rian Johnson''s highly anticipated Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. The Netflix film is eying a premiere date courtesy of the fall festival circuit, with Daniel Craig returning as Detective Benoit Blanc jetting off to solve another high-profile murder case.

The first trailer for How They Run has been released by Searchlight Pictures in September.
