The live-action adaptation of Monster Highs is a crazy, fang-tastic musical ...

Get ready ghouls Monster High is back with a live action film that will fulfill all of your spoopy dreams.

A new trailer for the Nickolodeon film reveals some of their favorite characters (and Frankie Stein apparently uses them/them pronouns) and the fangtastic (ha) world of Monster High. Its garish and over-the-top, with bright makeup and costumes, and we wouldn''t want it any other way. (Seriously Fate: The Winx Saga, take notes on how a magical girl cartoon made live action is supposed to look).

Monster High is a line of Mattel dolls, movies, and web shows, all based on a classic monster archetype, which was initially launched in 2010 and extended to eight years. Each doll was as simple as Barbies and Bratz dolls, but they also had a fun appearance that transformed spooky monsters into something totally chic.

The three main characters, including Clawdeen, Frankie, and Draculaura, were based on a werewolf, a Frankensteins monster, and Dracula. Unlike Operetta, the rockabilly daughter of the Opera, and Amanita Nightshade, a plant monster born from the seed of a corpse Flower, Monster High is pretty zany and all over the place.

Mattel relaunched Monster High in 2016, showcasing some collector edition dolls and the announcement of this film, as well as a new animated series.

On Nickelodeon and Paramount Plus, the film Monster High will appear on October 6, just in time for Halloween.
