It''s no secret that the Switch - or even more specifically the Switch''s Joy-Con controllers - have experienced a variety of issues of the years. The Joy-Con controllers, perhaps most famously known for the dreadful drift, have been a source of grief for gamers the world over, with many opting for the much more reliable Pro Controller for their daily needs.
Nintendo is apparently developing a sustainable solution to these challenges, and has launched a subscription service in Japan to assist customers who need Switch repairs. According to VGC, the service is known as "Wild Care" and will cost consumers 200 yen per month (roughly $1.50/1.20) or 2000 yen per year.
The Switch hardware includes almost everything, including the consoles themselves, the Joy-Con controllers, the dock, and the AC adapter. There are six repairs per year, each with the service even covering accidental damage and water damage.
There is currently no question on whether the service will be offered outside of Japan, but we must say, that pricing is so good!
What do you think of this new subscription service for repairs? Reckon the price is competitive? Let us know!
