Joe Goldberg will again perform his usual tricks during the upcoming fourth season, with what appears to be another gruesome murder.
Penn Badgley is reimagined as the serial killer in a new set shot from filming. He is standing on a beach while throwing black rubbish bags into the sea or a river.
After killing his wife Love, Joe was found guilty of falsely killing himself and moved to Paris while leaving their baby with their co-worker.
Badgley spoke last month about season 4''s trajectory: "The tone is similar, but it''s shifting in that there is a different format. It''s almost like we''re tweaking the genre quite easily. And I think it works."
Despite Joe''s last visit to Paris, he confirmed that the structure would move to London. Badgley said that "it''s cheaper."
"The problem is in him, it''s not so much outside of him," the actor said of his character, adding: "He is always trying, failing trying."
Season 4 of Badgley said it may be more about Joe''s relationship with himself.
"Although this isn''t really a show about a murderer, this is a discussion... I think it''s reducing our encounters to the extreme for the sake of a good story," Collider said.
"It''s really important to keep our swords down and stop being competitive in relationships," said the author.
Alongside a returning Badgley, the new season has included a slew of new stars, including EastEnders'' Tilly Keeper, Amy-Leigh Hickman, and Ed Speleers. Also on board are Ghosts'' Charlotte Ritchie, and Euphoria''s Lukas Gage.
Seasons 1-3 of you are streaming on Netflix. Season 4 is in production.
