After having to push her big day back twice due to COVID, professional dancer Amy Dowden has teamed up with Ben Jones in order to follow the lead.
Amy, who was born in Caerphilly, spoke up about her wedding to Hello!, declaring: "It was a fantastic event. I always knew I wanted to marry in Wales. The day was a celebration of Ben and me."
Following a combined hen and stag dinner, the two married with a lot of Strictly stars, including Dianne Buswell, who was bridesmaid.
Amy-Dowden's post (@amy_dowden) has been shared.
On New Year's Eve 2017, Ben proposed to Amy, and the date was initially set for April 2020.
"I didn't have a clue what the plan was, and it would be a big surprise," she explained.
"My bridesmaids fought so hard on it," said one of the many aspects of it. In the world, people are losing their relatives, friends, and their jobs, so I'm not ashamed to say that I did not get my hen."
Amy was announced as the host of a brand-new series called Dare to Dance for BBC Wales, which will feature her choreographs as a way to surprise friends and families.
"I'm so excited the news is coming! I'll be hosting my own series, Dare to Dance, which will air 6x30min episodes sometime early 2023!" she said at the time.
"Big thanks to @bbc @wildflameproductions @bbccymruwales for the fantastic opportunity. It's going to be such a joyous and satisfying show, and I'll't wait to take people on their own dance journey!"
