10 Every Waking Moment

How to Get: Essence of Obscurity (Moon quest)

Every Waking Moment is a much more competitive option in today's meta due to Shayura's Wrath being removed from the Trials loot pool. Every Waking Moment is a 600 rPM SMG that can receive an awful amount of rRnge.

The main advantage of this weapon is the Rangefinder, a feature that increases this weapon's Zoom capability to match Shayura's Wrath. With that combination, you can get around 23 meters of effective range on this weapon. Enjoy the rewards of Kill Clip, and enjoy the rewards of Shayura's Wrath that is more easily accomplished thanks to the Moon's repeated quests. Every Waking Moment is a solid replacement.

9 Enyo-D

Engrams from the Legendary World are available for download.

Enyo-D is the spiritual successor to Antiope-D, a popular Hakke SMG, who flourished during the Y1 and Y2 metas for Destiny 2. This weapon, which includes the same base model as Antiope-D, has the potential to roll with many damage advantages, allowing you to go on several killing sprees in 6v6 playlists.

Enyo-D's effective range is up to 23 meters for your main perks, including Multikill Clip and Rampage. The second column is filled with damage benefits, including Antiope's, but Enyo-D is still more than capable of competing with the current top dog SMGs.

8 The Hero's Burden

How to Get: Iron Banner Matches and Engrams.

In Season of the Haunted, Destiny 2's only adaptive frame SMG has returned, complete with a new set of benefits. This weapon, similar to a Lightweight SMG, has the same fire rate, but features a slightly more pergiving damage profile, allowing this weapon to defeat Guardians with headshots and body shots.

While the range percentage on Hero's Burden isn't great, the rollit has access to several amazing lethality benefits. Tunnel Vision and Kill Clip is fantastic for 6v6 modes where killing an enemy is quite straightforward. This is one of the few SMGs that can roll with Eye of the Storm, giving this weapon near-perfect accuracy during a gunfight. Although this weapon's overall lethality is difficult to match.

Iron Reach isn't a suggestion for this weapon. This decrease in stability makes this weapon uncontrollably in combat.

7 Multimach CCX

How to Get: No longer obtainable.

The legendary SMG has been dethroned. In Season of the Haunted, Multimach CCX has received some Zoom nerfs, causing it to damage falloff much sooner than it used to. In today's sandbox, it is still quite competitive.

If you were lucky enough to get this weapon in previous seasons, any roll with Killing Wind and Kill Clip will do wonders. Iron Reach has become a far less useful addition to SMGs, causing Multimach to flinch uncontrollably when you duel a Pulse Rifle or other SMG. Multimach has also become a success weapon for all Crucible modes. Keep an eye out for when this weapon returns.

6 Submission

How to get the Vow of the Disciple raid.

Submission is a deceptive weapon. At first glance, this weapon's base range of 29 appears to be unsalvageable. However, you'll soon realize that this weapon can match Shayura's Wrath while maintaining the excellent TTK that 900 RPMs are renowned for.

Submission has an amazing perk combination that no other SMG can get: Encore and Killing Wind. A single precision kill will give you up to 100 range after a single kill. It is also capable of killing Guardians from 25 meters away. Try it by hand. If you're looking for a good Kinetic SMG, here's your chance.

5 Borrowed Time

How to Get Gambit matches and Engrams.

Borrowed Time, a Gambit, has slowly become one of the finest SMGs you can use. Borrowed Time's range buffs to the most of SMGs in Season of the Haunted benefited Borrowed Time the most, allowing this weapon to take advantage of falling off distances similar to those of previous SMGs.

Borrowed Time has 15 base zoom and 37 range. While increasing range is quite easy, Borrowed Time is one of the few SMGs in Destiny 2 that can get Rangefinder, increasing your Zoom by 10%. With a good roll, you can extend this weapon's effective range to 23-24 meters. You have an advantage over Tap the Trigger, the weapon you have in Destiny 2.

4 The Huckleberry

This week in Season of the Haunted, this weapon will be able to duel at greater distances. If you can control this weapon's fire rate and recoil, you're left with one of the most deadly weapons in the Crucible.

3 Funnelweb

How to Get Legendary World Engrams.

After its release in The Witch Queen, Funnelweb continues to dominate the Destiny 2 meta. In PvE, most people use Funnelweb as an add-clearing tool, but this weapon is also fantastic inside the Crucibles, given that you have a good roll.

Killing Wind and Rangefinder is a fantastic combo that allows Funnelweb to compete with the most 600 RPM SMGs. The weapon is a dream to use, with a solid base stability of 44, and a robust handling of 70. Few SMGs may withstand Tarrabah's sheer stopping ability. This 750 RPM SMG is mediocre on the surface, but this weapon's Exotic perk converts it into a Machine Gun with infinite ammo. Tarrabah will slowly be charged. Hold the reload key to activate Ravenous Beast.

Bungie says this gun "unleashes the beast," and they mean it. This weapon boosts speed, gives you a greater damage, and increases Tarrabah's reload speed. Enemies drop in a quarter of a second, and killings prolong the duration of this perk. Tarrabah, as a tool for passive play, is well-known.
