All VHS tape locations for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge ...

VHS Tapes are a form of collectible in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, and are part of Vernon Fenwick's Special Request. Like the other Special Requests, you will have to find Vernon in one of the game's sixteen stages, then go out and collect the five VHS Tapes and return them to him for a substantial EXP payout.

The VHS Tapes are just one of five types of collectibles in the game, which decreases the blow when you go out of your way to get them. Despite the game's short runtime, finding every collectible can be a bit challenging or tedious, so it's nice to know where each episode is.

Starting VHS Tape Special Request

Before you begin the Special Request, you will need to find and turn in the VHS Tapes, as with all collectibles in TMNT: Shredder's Revenge. Vernon Fenwick isn't too difficult to track down but is almost halfway through the game, so you'll have to make a few tweaks before you reach him.

Vernon is located in the sixth episode of "Mall Meltdown," and is discovered roughly halfway through the level. When the episode begins, you will be drawn to the mall's entrance and will have to fight your way through it to reach the end boss of the stage. Look for a set of escalators before you turn it around. Smash it to get greeted with Vernon's presence.

In the game's overworld, you will have the Channel 6 Van location unlocked. Visit it after finishing the level to begin the VHS Tapes Special Request!

  • Episode Six: Mall Meltdown
  • Overworld Location: Channel 6 Van
  • Special Request: VHS Tapes

VHS Tape 1 Location

The first VHS Tape is located in the same episode where you discovered Vernon, the sixth episode, "Mall Meltdown." However, unlike Vernon, this Tape is near the beginning of the stage. So, like before, jump back into the level to begin fighting through hordes of enemies inside the mall but keep your eyes peeled for a sunglasses display stand with a cardboard cutout to its right. Smash it to reveal and obtain your first VHS Tape!

VHS Tape 2 Location

The second VHS Tape in Episode seven, "Roof Running Reptiles!," will be able to ascertain by screenshots. However, the VHS Tape isn't hard to get to and is usually snagged at the very beginning of the stage. Once the task is completed, you will have to traverse a wooden plank that connects the highrise to another building, except one that is in an awful condition. Make sure you open the toolbox to obtain the second VHS Tape!

  • Episode Seven: Roof Running Reptiles!

VHS Tape 3 Location

In the tenth installment of "A Few Screwsloose," you may go through the starting area outside, where you can fight waves of enemies in parking lots, then enter the warehouse. Look to your left to find a couple of wooden crates with the Foot Clan logo on them, along with a few cardboard boxes and a television. Destroy the wooden crates to grab your third VHS Tape!

  • Episode Ten: A Few Screwsloose

VHS Tape 4 Location

The fourth VHS Tape will be sprayed throughout this level as the episode's title implies. Look for a skull mounted on the wall alongside stone-fashioned weapons on the same screen. Smash the brochure stand to get the VHS Tape number four!

  • Episode Eleven: Dinosaur Stampede!

VHS Tape 5 Location

The sixth and final VHS Tape is early on in the stage but is found in the thirteenth episode, "Technodrome Redux." Once you have reached the area, try with two enormous robots in the background, a couple of Stone Warriors, and others, making things even more "fun." Once here, look for a wooden crate with a red Foot Clan logo on it. Smash this crate to get the final VHS Tape!

  • Episode Thirteen: Technodrome Redux

Return To The Channel 6 Van

Finally, the moment we've all been waiting for, you may return to the Channel 6 Van in the game's overworld to return all five VHS Tapes to Vernon for 100 Points of EXP. As always, please double-check and ensure your current character is not maxed-out before speaking with Vernon, since these points will be flushed down the toilet if you don't want.
