Apex Legends viewers on Twitch decreased by almost 40 percent in June 2022. The Respawn battle royale was still the seventh most-watched game on the platform throughout the month, but its a substantial decline nonetheless.

It was likely to be a result of the massive increase in ALGS Split 2 Playoffs in May. It broke viewership records, therefore it was always going to be a difficult process.

Apexis is currently in the midst ofSeason 13, which started on May 10. However, it hasn't been a hit among players, particularly due to ranked changes (which had to bedialed back) but there are also concerns about the game being a rough, broken mess, and a portion of the player base even consideringboycottingthe game over, so that has impacted Twitch numbers.

Interestingly, the decline coincided with an increase in interest in VALORANT. In June, the company logged up more than 100 million hours, doubled the number of Apexs.

Most watched games on Twitch in June 2022

  • League of Legends 118,780,761 hours
  • GTA V 104,597,438 hours
  • VALORANT 102,167,775 hours

  • Minecraft 39,740,385 hours
  • Rust 34,083,044 hours
  • Teamfight Tactics 33,665,354 hours

It was a two-year increase from the previous month, but it was one of the only games that performed positively. CS:GO, League of Legends, and GTA were all down. So, although its a minor boost, it went against the grain and that might have played a role.

Valorants increase in viewership is even more impressive if you widen the lens and look at the statistics throughout 2022. It was 30% higher, the highest level of any other mainstream game when it came to streaming.

The predictions for 2022 shed new light on Apex Legends trajectory. It turns out that the decrease viewership rate in June is only a temporary road bump. It has risen by 7%, which is impressive.

On a long-term basis, Call of Duty: Warzones numbers vary in comparison, and although Fortnite is close, its not quite there.

Apex streamers and their fans are all in dire need of doom and gloom. June has been a lowlight, but it will likely change once the circuit picks up again in July.

VALORANTS viewership continues to rise, suggesting that it's a good time to jump on board. League and claim the top spot if it keep up.
