The Minecraft amiibo for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is coming this September ...

Nintendo is still working on amiibo for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and the next batch, as you may recall, are Steve and Alex from Mojang's survival, crafting, and building game Minecraft.

Both of these amiibo were originally postponed in February due to "logistics and manufacturing issues," but now we have an official launch date.

Nintendo has given fans a brief taste of the game:

Steve and Alex will also receive a special double pack release in Japan. It's unknown at this time if this will be made available locally.
