A Dancing with the Stars alum revealed that her romantic relationship suffered while she was a participant in the famous ballroom competition a decade ago.
Audrina Patridge was selected to compete in the 11th season of DWTS and was paired with pro partner Tony Dovolani. The former The Hills alum was a strong contender, but was eliminated sixth in the season that saw actress Jennifer Grey win the mirrorball trophy.
Patridge talked about her amazing chemistry with Dovolani at the time.
Tony and I fell in love immediately, according to a 2010 interview with The Hollywood Gossip. He is the best partner he's patient, but he knows how to push me and encourage me.
Patridge claims that her then-romantic partner wasn't as appreciative of the pairing in her new book.
Audrina Patridge claims her ex, Corey Bohan, accused her of having an affair with Tony Dovolani.
Patridge was only 25 years old when she took part in Dancing With the Stars, while Dovolani was 37 years old, married, and had three children with his wife Lina.
Patridge revealed that her then-boyfriend, BMX rider Corey Bohan, was jealous of her close relationship with Dovolani in her tell-all book, Choices: To the Hills and Back Again.
Patridge admitted that her DWTS obligations meant she was unable to spend a lot of time with Bohan, but that he began to accuse her of having a sexual relationship with her pro partner.
Patridge wrote that he would make rude, nasty comments every day about Tony and what he was so sure was going on. I was accused of making the dances too sexy and inappropriate, as if I had control over the movements of the tango.
Tony is a happy married man with three beautiful children, according to Patridge. Hes a true family man period, at least. There was not even a hint of anything inappropriate! However, he wouldnt give up.
Patridge wrote that Bohan would call or text her when she was rehearsing with Dovolani and that she was embarrassed by his constant check-ins and possessive behavior.
She wrote that Tony and the others on the show were beginning to notice. The stress was causing enormous stress on my headspace during rehearsals.
Bohan appeared at the DWTS studio twice a week for live performances, but he would rant once they returned.
[Corey] acted so kind and proud of me in front of the cameras and other dancers, before blowing up and yelling at me when we got home, according to the lady.
Patridge admitted that she was secretly relieved that she did not have to be under Corey's surveillance anymore.
Patridge ended his marriage to Bohan, but not for a year. According to Page Six, the MTV star filed for divorce from Bohan in 2018.
Tony Dovolani left DWTS because he was sick of babysitting his partners.
Dovolani was partnered with everyone from Wendy Williams to Wynonna Judd during his long stint on DWTS, but it was his interactions with certain reality actors that proved to be too much. The Albanian-American pro dancer was famously butted heads with TLC reality star Kate Gosselin, as well as he was partnered with a couple of Real Housewives celebrities in 2016.
Dovolani told Hollywood Life that nothing significant happened that prompted him to resign, but that he simply had enough of babysitting some partners.
Some of these celebrities, or reality stars, I should say, have an idea of who they are and who they are, and they forgot that I was there to deal with them, he said. I was there to teach them how to dance. So, when it becomes about anything other than teaching them how to dance, I will not take part.
I mean when it comes to reality stars, the word itself explicates it: reality star, the DWTS pro added. Which implies that you're an interesting person, character maybe like the villain or somebody you like. For me, I respect talent. I appreciate hard work.
