There's nothing more satisfying than snuggling up to your favorite movie, popcorn, and your pet, snuggling right next to you. That's how involved pets are in our lives. So, it's only fair that their "hoomans" get enough and the right amount of entertainment.
This summer, we are getting set up for a host of action movies and shows that depict daring animals fighting the good fight and saving the world. From Kung Fu Panda: The Legend of Hank, to DC League of Super-Pets, there will be a great time spent with your dog. Rio follows Blu, a domesticated male Spixs macaw, who is smuggled out of the Amazon and finds his way to Minnesota, where he meets Linda's ornithologist friend Tulio. They meet in Rio de Janeiro so Blu may mate with Jewel's last female Spix macaw, who is soon to be a life-threatening situation.
Rio, directed by Carlos Saldanha, who also directed the Ice Age film series, includes Jesse Eisenberg, Anne Hathaway, Rodrigo Santoro, George Lopez, Tracy Morgan, and Jamie Foxx as voice actors. The sequel to Rio 2, which was released in 2014, will be released in 2014.
My Neighbor Totoro (1988)
My Neighbor Totoro, a 1988 Japanese animated film directed and written by Hayao Miyazaki, is a must-see movie. When their mother is sick, professor Tatsuo Kusakabe and his daughters move to a different house outside the town to be near the hospital where their mother is recovering. The girls discover a giant rabbit-like forest spirit when they begin calling Totoro and begin interfacing with them.
Noriko Hidaka, Chika Sakamoto, and Hitoshi Takagi are the main actors in the Japanese fantasy animation film My Neighbor Totoro (Japanese) and its characters, which have been popular since Totoro and the cat bus.
The Secret Life of Pets (2016)
The Secret Life of Pets is a funny and crazy animal adventure that your pet will enjoy, from tabby cats to mutty cats to a rebellious stray bunny. Just be careful, your little friend may get ideas to go on a wild adventure like Max and Duke.
The story follows Max, a pet dog who is displeased that his owner, Katie, has brought home a new dog named Duke. A slew of stray cats have attempted to rescue Max and Duke, but Max realizes that he must put his differences aside and save himself first.
101 Dalmatians (1996)
101 Dalmatians, a Disney classic, is an all-time favorite of dog parents and dog lovers. And we're pretty sure your canine friends will as well! Choose from the animated or the live-action version, you and your dog will fall in love with both.

Stuart Little is directed by Rob Minkoff, who is also co-directing the new animated comedy Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank.

The Cat Returns (2002)
This is a must-see for cats and cat lovers alike. Another Studio Ghibli production, this fantasy animation is inspired by Aoi Hiiragi's manga of the same name.
The Cat Returns follows Haru, a young schoolgirl who appears to have a special ability to interact with cats. One day, Haru rescues a cat from being ran over by a truck, who turns out to be a cat prince called Lune. Haru is asked by the Cat King to marry Lune and is taken to the Cat Kingdom, where Haru begins to develop cat-like features, paws, tails, and all.
