Ken Jennings, who was recently made a permanent host of Jeopardy! with Mayim Bialik, posted some fan mail asking him to sign images of well-known actor Richard Jenkins. This sparked some hilarious tweets from the Twitterverse.
Ken Jennings, one of the most successful judges in Jeopardy! history, isn't very well-known for his theater work, as well as for films and television series like The Shape of Water, The Visitor, Olive Kitteridge, Six Feet Under, Burn After Reading, and others.

Richard Jenkins's 2008 comedy Step Brothers features Robert Doback, his father to John C. Reillys Dale, and his stepfather to Will Ferrells Brennan. The strange occurrence even enraged comedian Andy Richter, who hilariously told him: "Joel Reillys, don't cry."
They're just a spooky sign.
Ken Jennings replied, saying, "No, but I'll sign them." J. K. Simmons is a Semi-Pro actor who has never signed an autograph. In all probability, an autograph-seeker just put the wrong pictures in the envelope, and one Twitter user assumed that Richard Jenkins was having a similar experience somewhere out there.

Others, like this fan, saw the opportunity to fulfill a classic Simpsons gag, in which a photo of Sean Connery with Roger Moores' signature was being sold for $150. Do I smell a collectors item in the works?
Ken, you may have created this scenario on Facebook (pi.twitter.com/y5rJjPA4EYJuly 29, 2022).
Im sure there will be a joke between Sean Connery and Will Ferrell in the classic Saturday Night Live Celebrity Jeopardy! sketch. Some fans were concerned that Ken Jennings might be the victim of a prank, because fellow Jeopardy! fan James Holzhauer can never resist the temptation to crack the GOAT.
Holzhauer's prank may be a joke, according to me.
And of course there was the Step Brothers humor, with one fan implying that autographing the pictures might have some fairly high stakes:
If you delete your invitation to the Catalina Wine Mixer, I'd suggest that you sign them.
Ken Jennings may not have Richard Jenkins' comedic acting credits to his name, but he has been known to make a dad joke or two, even if they were so bad. Jennings offered an apology, despite fans appearing to be interested in it. Similarly when he returned to Jeopardy! to host Season 38's final episodes, Jennings made a real groaner of a circumcision joke.
When Ken Jennings returns for Season 39, fans anticipate seeing more of him. Mayim Bialik will be standing behind the lectern when Celebrity Jeopardy! premieres on Sunday, September 25. Check out our 2022 TV Schedule to see what other premieres will come soon!
