When the System tab is opened, you should see available slots to save your game. Follow the button prompts to save your game.

If you have chosen a specific point in the game where you want to save, you may wish to save the game from the menu.

To save a lot of time, you don't even need to go to the System tab. Open the menu. Along the bottom of the screen, you should see a series of button prompts, including the Quick Save option. Just touch Y and your progress will be saved.
