Following the release of wave two of the DLC, a previous datamine for Mario Kart 8 Deluxes Booster Course Pass appeared to be correct.

Dataminers discovered that each of the twelve unreleased cups included in the DLC listed the previous series from which the tracks in them were coming from, all of which were confirmed by the official announcement.

Here is a list of all the potential prefixes in the cup. We haven't verified whether or not it's extracting this information from garbage data. pic.twitter.com/3yW46Ms1D5

This also explains why a handful of the DLC tracks did not appear to have a connection to any previous entry in the series, suggesting that additional courses might be introduced. Sky-High Sundae will be released as part of wave two of the Booster Course Pass, and will also make its way to the Mario Kart Tour in the near future.

Players can anticipate a few new courses to appear over the next year, as well as popular tracks.

Nintendo announced that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's highly anticipated wave two of the Booster Course Pass will be released on August 4th, including well-known series favorites such as Mario Kart Wiis Mushroom Gorge and Mario Kart DS Waluigi Pinball.

Owners of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe can get the entire Booster Course Pass, which will include a total of 48 tracks across six waves released in late 2023, from the eShop for $25.
