Lisa Vanderpump was a key character on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for nine seasons. She resigned from the franchise in 2019 following a season-long Puppygate scandal involving a rescue dog Dorit Kemsley, who was mistakenly returned to another shelter. Vanderpump was accused of lying about the scandal to a tabloid, and she left the program on bad terms with many of her cast members.
Vanderpump accused producers of leaking the negative story about the dog and shoving her under the bus in April 2022. I believe it was production that did it, she told Page Six. I'm not happy that the producers tried to blame me.
Chris Cullen, the executive producer of Not All Diamonds and Rose, claimed that Vanderpump wanted her hands dirty, so she used her co-stars as pawns. In the book, Cullen said that she reported to the media with the negative story about Kemsley's adopted dog, Lucy Lucy Apple Juice, who was temporarily placed in a kill shelter after the RHOBH star decided not to keep the pup.
It's no wonder that Vanderpump has slowed his chances of ever returning to the Real Housewives franchise.
Lisa Vanderpump cries that the RHOBH franchise is too mean-spirited for her.
With Vanderpump Rules, Vanderpump has a large following on Bravo, but many viewers want her to reprise her on RHOBH or another spinoff series.
The owner of SUR responded with a firm answer when a Twitter user asked her, On behalf of #rhobh fans everywhere, please come back. Noooooo..too mean spirited, she wrote.
Lisa readily replied, no. When another fan asked her if she would do the Ultimate Girls Trip, she replied, no.
Vanderpump's recent comments aren't a surprise. In an interview with Page Six earlier in 2022, Vanderpump described RHOBH as a nightmare and said, Im glad I left. I tried to leave three or four times.
She said she would never return. That's a clumsy mess that I'd rather get rid of.
Lisa Vanderpump previously said that her friendship with Garcelle Beauvais isn't enough to get her to return to RHOBH.
Vanderpump has stated that she would consider re-election of her former friends Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, and Dorit Kemsley to Entertainment Tonight in 2021. However, she has indicated that she would not mind working with newer cast members Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Stracke, both of whom were not on the show when she was on it.
Vanderpump said of her potential return to RHOBH: "It's unlikely that this will happen anytime soon." It'd be fantastic if just Sutton, Garcelle, and me.
Vanderpump said even her newfound friendship with Beauvais isn't enough to get her back to the Housewives.
I dont think so, she added, adding that she never meets Beauvais on a future visit.
Vanderpump explained that since I left the program, I haven't seen it. That's a good thing for me. I've had nineandahalf years in the game, and some of them were quite difficult.
