Grand Theft Auto 5 became one of the greatest video games of all time, following Minecraft. Other sources claim it to be the single highest-grossing entertainment media ever thanks to downloadable content and sales in its online mode, Grand Theft Auto Online.
GTA RP, or Grand Theft Auto Role Play, is a popular mode in Grand Theft Auto Online, which allows players to play their own narrative in whatever way they desire. The mod's rules and how people are allowed to play tend to vary from server to server.
A number of streamers have dedicated large portions of their time to the RP server since NoPixel became available. Some streamers, however, like xQc, have found themselves at odds with the people who run the Grand Theft Auto 5 server and have been banned as a result. One such streamer, who goes by the name Ming, was previously banned from the server in 2019. However, it appears that this restriction will be lifted.
The owner of the NoPixel server, koil, offered to unban Ming if he received $100,000 in donations. One fan of Ming from Saudi Arabia went above and beyond for the streamer during the Grand Theft Auto 5 charity drive. incivik donated $40,000 to the charity drive.
The NoPixel server is often criticized for its limitations, despite its popularity. Other streamers have criticized the Grand Theft Auto 5 server for its restrictions, calling them unfair. At the very least, Ming looks to soon rejoin his NoPixel teammates.
Grand Theft Auto Online is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox One.
