Elden Ring: What to Do After Beating Starscourge Radahn

Elden Ring: What to Do After Beating Starscourge Radahn ...

Elden Ring is a massive game, so great that it is sometimes difficult to decide what to do next after clearing a major obstacle. General Radahn is one such intersection, at which players can go in a few different directions after defeating the gravity-manipulating main boss.

After defeating General Radahn, a handful of new areas may be created, and of course, there's always the choice between using his Remembrance for equipment or Runes. If you think you're nearing Elden Ring after defeating the Starscourge, think again the Radahn Festival is just around the halfway point.

Erik Petrovich's Updated July 30, 2022: Many players wonder where to go after defeating Radahn with a veritable army of summons. A great many new paths are open for players to take, most notably the path to Nokron. Players may also upgrade their powers by using Radahn's Remembrance or by activating Radahn's Great Rune after Radahn is put to rest in the Dragonbarrow, which can be a tricky area for

Progress The Questlines of Blaidd and Alexander

After defeating Starscourge Radahn, players will find themselves in an area with Blaidd, Alexander, and others all reminiscing about the fight. Here, you can progress both Blaidd and Alexander's questlines and can acquire valuable lore information from other nearby NPCs like Jerren.

Alexander is seen scooping corpses into his pot body to soak some of his strength, disappointed that he was so easily broken. Blaidd can be found near the Carian Study Hall, overlooking Jarburg's former residence.

In the newly-unlocked Nokron, Ranni's questline will continue.

Ranni the Witch is a fan favorite character in Elden Ring for a number of reasons, and her questline is one of the most intricate and jaw-dropping in the game. It can be started by going to Ranni's Rise in northwest Liurnia, just outside the mini-dungeon of Caria Manor.

The stars return to the Lands Between after General Radahn's death, no longer held back by the Starscourge's gravitational strength. One star lands in the Mistwood, leading to Nokron, the Eternal City. To continue Ranni's questline, look for the Fingerslayer Blade in the city hidden behind the Ancestral Woods Site of Lost Grace.

Unique Armaments (Or Runes) using His Remembrance

Giving Enia the Finger Reader the Starscourge Remark rewards players with either the Starscourge Greatsword, which scales with Int, or the Lion Greatbow, which can also be consumed to gain 30,000 souls, enough to keep you over the edge for a few extra levels at this stage of Elden Ring.

The Starscourge Greatsword is two Greatswords in one, and it has the unique Starcaller Cry skill, which attracts enemies with gravitational force for a devastating double-bladed smash. The Lion Greatbow has the Radahn's Rain skill, which shoots a rain of arrows (preferably Radahn's Spears) that follows the target in the boss fight.

Restore His Great Rune in the Dragonbarrow after defeating Radahn.

General Radahn's Great Rune is unique - after Malenia infected him with Scarlet Rot, his Great Rune became wreathed in flames to protect from death. For its effects via Rune Arc, his divine tower must be activated from the Dragonbarrow's Divine Tower of Caelid.

The most efficient way to get to the Dragonbarrow is to take the teleporter behind the Third Church of Marika (in east Limgrave) to the Bestial Sanctum, which is conveniently located on the far northeast side of the Dragonbarrow. After crossing the Farum Greatbridge to the south, head underneath and follow the road past the Dragonbarrow Cave.

The Divine Tower should be visible from this point: climb the steep cliff to avoid the decaying Dragons, turn left at the two dragons in the lake, and follow the outcropping until you reach the top of an elevator that leads straight to the top. Also, note that a Godskin Apostle may be found beneath the Tower.

If it's your second great rune, go to Leyndell, the Royal Capital.

General Radahn gives the third Great Rune, although there are plenty of Elden Ring players who have skipped Godrick or Rennala to fight the Starscourge faster. The barrier blocking your journey to Leyndell or Royal Capital will be removed if General Radahn grants your second Great Rune.

This is unusual because most players will face Godrick and then Rennala in order to get access to the Royal Capital. If you've gone out of your way to avoid the first few major bosses of Elden Ring, though, defeating Radahn might result in early access to the Altus Plateau, Mt Gelmir, and Leyndell - a super useful technique for getting mid-game Bell Bearings early.

Elden Ring is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as Xbox One and Series X|S.
