On the anniversary of her death, Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley has shared a photo tribute to her mother on Instagram.
On the tenth anniversary of her death, she posted a picture of her mother in a frame with two lit candles and a vase of flowers.
"My BELOVED Mum Cath, who died of cancer ten years ago today, is as raw as it was back then." It's been said many times, but not always. "It's easier with time."
"She literally shone like the brightest star you've ever seen, and everybody says the same. 'Cath Riley, once met, never forgotten,' I still cry when I hear this. Because I suppose I'm the one who struggles the most in coming to terms with how young she was.
"I've learned one thing: I lean on my closest and dearest, and for this I'm so grateful." My Al, my family, my best pals, my work colleagues
"You always keep me laughing, on the days I'm down and really angry, because you know that's how I deal with things the best..
Lisa Riley (@lisajaneriley) has shared a post.
"For this today, please accept my highest respect. May anyone else experiencing real grief today, please read this, and find someone close to whom they can talk to, because communicating and expressing your inner feelings is powerful. I say this with truth and honesty."
Friends and followers of her blog have emailed her a thank you message, saying, "It's nice to share."
After losing her grandmother, the actress recently took some time off from playing Mandy Dingle on the ITV soap.
