Hannah Dodd is a real delight to join the cast of Netflix's smash TV show Bridgerton.
Francesca will be played by the actress in season three of Bridgerton, replacing Ruby Stokes in the role. Stokes left the show in order to star in a related Netflix production Lockwood & Co.
Im so excited. Everyone has been so kind. I just want to do a good job," Dodd said.
Dodd claims to have read six of Julia Quinn's eight books, which are the basis for the TV program Francesca. She "didn't know what" she'd] got [herself] into.
"I needed to read it as soon as possible." says Dodd. She's such a beautiful person, and she's such a beautiful character. I can't believe that I get to play her.
I know how people feel about her as well, so I'll do my best."
Dodd previously starred in Anatomy of a Scandal and is currently working on a role in Flowers in the Attic: The Origin on Lifetime. In between those two roles, she made an appearance in Marvel's Eternals in the minor role of Sandra. She has also joined the cast of Netflix's forthcoming Enola Holmes 2, which features Millie Bobby Brown in the titular role.
Bridgerton's second season was released earlier this year after a world premiere in London, while the third season's photography was started in July. There is no set release date for the third season yet, but a fourth season has already been released.
Seasons 1-2 of Bridgerton are now available on Netflix. Season 3 has been confirmed.
