Palkia is one of the many famous Pokemon you can encounter in Pokemon Go. It's a rare Pokemon that will appear in five-star raids, giving you a small opportunity to add it to your collection. It's important to keep a close eye on it during these five-star raids, and we highly recommend you bring a friend or two.
All Palkia weaknesses
Palkia is a dragon and water-type Pokemon. It is weak against Dragon and Fairy-type attacks, but strong against Fire, Water, and Steel-type moves. Because of the many Pokemon choices you must make to beat it, we strongly recommend leaning into the Dragon-type weaknesses.
Best Pokemon counters to Palkia
Rayquaza, Dragonite, and Garchomp are the best Pokemon you can use to defeat Palkia in five-star raids.
Rayquaza is another well-known Pokemon, which is a Dragon and Flying-type. Due to its stats and moveset, Rayquaza is usually not used too often in PvP battles, but it is an excellent Pokemon to use in five-star raids against other Pokemon. Palkia is a good opportunity to teach Rayquaza both in terms of speed and speed.
Dragonite is a new Dragon and Flying-type Pokemon that is often overlooked in mobile games. Its also a good PvE Pokemon and a solid choice against Palkia. The best moveset to teach Dragonite is the fast move dragon tail.
Garchomp, a dragon and ground-type Pokemon, is the last option we recommend for a Palkia five-star raid. Previously, Garchomp was a bit more difficult to capture, but plenty of trainers should have a few of these available after the Community Day event. Garchomp is a solid option for PvE and PvP battles, with its fast move dragon tail and charged move outrage.
Palkia will need a whole team of six Pokemon to defeat. We recommend you also utilize these weapons during the fight.
- Alolan Exeggutor
- Mega Ampharos
- Mega Gyarados
- Mega X Charizard
- Mega Y Charizard
You have a chance to catch Palkia after defeating the game. There is also a chance to encounter Palkis' shiny version.
