Resident Evil is one of those horror franchises that I've been following for a long time, and now that a new series has been added to the Netflix TV program for the 2022 season, I've binged all eight episodes within a day. While its very different from the video games that I grew up with, I'll agree that there are plenty of elements to the show that fans can find in other TV series as well.
If youre like me and completed all eight episodes very quickly - or are just looking for something else with plenty of guts and zombies and monsters - check out these great picks.
The Walking Dead (Netflix)
The Walking Dead, a popular AMC series, has been on air for eleven seasons, following a group of survivors in a world that is overrun with zombie-like creatures called walkers, and their endless quest to survive.
The Walking Dead has truly become a television staple, and if you liked Resident Evil for all of its monsters, this is the show for you. From its most powerful villains to its most heartbreaking deaths, to the ones we have come to fall in love with, or the ones that have truly become some of the best on television, The Walking Dead is one of those shows that you will not be able to stop watching.

Yellowjackets, an excellent Showtime series that spannes two duel timelines, in 1996 and today, follows a girls soccer team as they get stranded in the Rocky Mountains, and now, where their secrets from the past may be exposed.
Let me just say that from the moment I started seeing this program, I was hooked. Like, the definition of hooked. For Resident Evil enthusiasts, youll like the survival aspect, but this show is far more psychological and has twists and turns that will make you sit on the edge of your seat. I know I was. And let me not forget about the incredible Yellowjackets cast. Truly, amazing talent.
Yellowjackets is available on Showtime.
All Of Us Are Dead (Netflix)
All Of Us Are Dead is a new Netflix South Korean horror series that follows a group of students who are trapped inside the walls of a high school as a zombie epidemic begins. Now, it's up to them to find a way to get help.
All Of Us Are Dead is one of the best horror TV series of the last decade, and it is up there with The Walking Dead. The young cast is fantastic, the plot is great, and a Season 2 is on the way.
On Netflix, you may watch All Of Us Are Dead (opens in new tab) or All Of Us Are Dead (opens in new tab)
The 100 (Netflix)
The 100 is a wonderful CW show that follows a group of delinquents - known as the 100 - who are sent back to earth, hundreds of years after a nuclear catastrophe, to see if it is habitable again.
The dystopian aspect of this program is what makes this show stand out from the others. The 100 cast is also very talented, and some of the action scenes are fantastic.

The Strain (Hulu)
The Strain, a supernatural series, is next up. A doctor and his team are assigned to investigate a strange outbreak of a strange virus, which apparently turns humans into vampires, dating back centuries, and uncovering additional clues at each turn.
The Strain's monsters are spectacular, which is what I like about Resident Evil fans. They're terrifying, well-crafted, and something that will haunt your nightmares. But I think what I like the most about The Strain is that it's packed with intrigue and mystery. After all, it was created by Guillermo del Toro, who is a master of horror.

Supernatural is an incredible fantasy series that follows the Winchester brothers, Dean and Sam, who end up following their fathers footsteps of hunting down anything that's scary and scary, from demons and ghosts to vampires and monsters to anything else. All while looking good doing it.
Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki had a combined run of fifteen seasons. Fifteen seasons. It was the longest-running fantasy TV series in America. It had a fantastic Supernatural cast and monsters that could sometimes outperform the terrifying ones from Resident Evil.

Check out Z Nation, which is a good drama that mixes comedy with drama. A group of survivors is tasked with bringing a guy all the way across America, who may just be the cure for the entire thing.
Z Nation is a great resource for Resident Evil fans, but what I like the most about it is that it is a lot funnier than some of the other picks on this list - Id say above Supernatural. It's funny, fun, and enjoyable, and with four seasons to watch, you'll fall in love with it from beginning to end. It's like The Last Of Us, which will be getting its own television show soon.

Helix follows CDC staffers as they journey down to the Arctic in order to investigate a sudden viral outbreak. However, as they get down there, they discover that this could be even more deadly than they ever imagined. It's up to them to figure out how to prevent it.
This program does have some creepy zombies, but what fans will like more is that Helix leans more into how corporations can influence a zombie outbreak, which is a big theme of Resident Evil. And with two seasons to watch, it's a great story from start to finish.
Hulu is offering a free streaming of Helix (opens in a new tab)
The Witcher (Netflix)
The Witcher, a popular Netflix original series, follows Geralt of Rivia, a witcher who can both devour humans and monsters, before being soon assigned to caring for a little girl named Ciri, as well as other witches and wizards.
While The Witcher is more of a fantasy than a horror film, some of the monsters in it are terrifying, which is great for fans of Resident Evil. However, I do enjoy the drama, as well as the costumes and scenery, and I love the witcher cast. It's one of Netflix's most popular shows, so you can be certain that they're doing something right with it.

In this fun dramedy, we follow a doctor who ends up becoming a zombie - but not a complete one - almost a half human/half zombie. She then inherits some of their personality/memories for a few moments, helping solve murder cases.
For Resident Evil fans, there are plenty of zombie jokes in this program, but man I love the humor. This show is so funny, it's not even a contest between this and some of the other horror dramedies on here. iZombie takes the zombie genre in a totally different direction and will make you laugh your s**t.

Zombies, guts, and monsters, oh my! All of these choices would be the finest for you to enjoy, and whatever you choose, you will be going to enjoy it for the whole lot of time. Now, if you like, I'll go and re-watch The Walking Dead for the hundredth time before those final episodes release.
