Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey, and The Miz are among the 6 most significant takeaways from WWE SummerSl ...

SummerSlam toured a tractor through Nashville last night, giving WWE fans their first premium live performance without Vince McMahon calling the shots. I'm here for it, and if the live crowd and Twitters reactions are any indication, most fans are there for it. After all, it's easy to invest when the product is excellent, and more often than not last night, the product was excellent.

At its most basic level, wrestling is always about telling a story. Sometimes, the story is self-contained within the match, but more often than not, the match is simply a portion of a larger story being told. We now have an idea where some characters and storylines may go from here.

Let's recap the key takeaways from SummerSlam. Let's talk about where WWE might be heading with some of these personalities, and let's give a few people their condolences for putting on some amazing performances.

Becky Lynch Is A Face Now

Becky was an outright joy to watch as a heel, and she portrayed herself without any pretenses. Im ready to root for her again next year. I think a lot of people are at the same place. During the post-match chat when she joined Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Io Shirai, she was already receiving Becky chants.

Im not entirely sure thatll happen over the long haul. Becky might move to Smackdown to work with Ronda.

Ronda Rousey Is A Heel Now

I don't know if this was planned for weeks or if Triple H pushed for it after he took over, but this has been the obvious direction for Rondas character for like two months. She was not getting over as a face, and she was having trouble adjusting between intense and positive interactions with the fans.

Im so glad to announce that I have posted a few updates about Rondas' challenges in the past few months, but we cant forget how many incredible positives she brings to the ring too! She is naturally athletic and unlike a lot of other well-known WWE performers, willing to work as a regular performer on TV most weeks. As a merciless aggressor who just attacks everyone in her path, she might be the most feared woman on the roster again!

Logan Paul Is A Potential Future WWE Champion

Logan Paul made a lot of noise during his match against The Miz. I thought it was nutty and I didnt see any way the crowd would applaud him, partly due to a massive frog splash from the top ropes to the announcers table.

Logan Pauls future in WWE is unknown. We know he has signed an extension, but it's unclear whether or not he'll be able to do a full television series every week to improve himself sufficiently in the ring and to win a championship over fans. But the ceiling is so high with this guy. I mean that was his second real match. It's incredible. If he decides this is something he wants to do, then he'll go there.

The Miz Is Really Extremely Good, and People Need To Pay Respect To His Name

Logan Paul was only in his second real WWE match ever. The crowd was quite hesitant and almost apprehensive going into it because they werent sure if they wanted to root for or boo him since he has only shared the screen since WrestleMania. Yet, these dudes stayed awake all night.

Logan Paul's frog leap from the top rope to the announcer's table is a sight to see. But this match does not work without The Miz very quickly establishing a great rhythm and chemistry with a dude who has little WWE wrestling experience. This guy is a first ballot Hall of Famer, and he always helps elevate The Miz to another level.

Brock Lesnar Can Come Back Anytime He Wants

Brock is a fantastic wrestler, and for all the injuries on WWEs roster, Brock was one of the few people who could have matched Roman Reigns in SummerSlam, and gotten fans interested, even if they just complained on Twitter. I was ecstatic as well, but I also wanted to see Brock lose again.

After another Brock Lesnar loss, I left the ring feeling even more excited to see Brock Lesnar again. He knows how long he should talk on the microphone. He has so much fun in the ring, and because there were so many things going on at ringside, I didnt really think that loss hurt him so much. Id say I wouldn't want him to win another L against Roman anyway.

The Women's Division's Future Is Exciting

I am not sure if WWE will be able to resolve its problems with Sasha Banks and Naomi. I really hope they do, but I dont think any of us know all of the details all that well about whats going on behind the scenes there. Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Ronda Rousey, and Liv Morgan are among the most exciting talent in the history of wrestling. Now we can add Bayley, Io Shirai, and Dakota Kai, who all returned for SummerSlam

I hope Triple H brings back the women's tag team belts. I hope he widens the deck enough to allow all of these women to work together. I'll just shut my mouth and trust Triple H to execute this division's promise. The future has never been greater, and I'm anxious to see what it'll bring.
