After the Drago spinoff news, Sylvester Stallone shares further less-than-nice thoughts about Rocky ...

The Rocky franchise is still going strong after 40 years, mainly due to the Creed films. And just this past week, it was reported that the Drago spinoff is moving forward, thanks to a major hire. Sylvester Stallone, the man who set the franchise up, isnt too pleased, though. Recently, Stallone posted an outburst about his lack of ownership of the boxing franchise.

Sylvester Stallone has taken issue with veteran producer Irwin Winkler and his son David, who is currently the lead actor in the long-running film series. Stallone claimed that Robert Chartoff was the person who was most involved behind the scenes, and that David Winkler is the reason why no other Rocky sequels have been made.

In a second message that was posted to his Instagram, the Hollywood vet said that the producers were once again working on a production that did not receive his input. He also addressed the fans directly while mentioning the actor who brought Ivan Drago to life:

Another Heartbreaker Just discovered this outONCE AGAIN, this PATHETIC 94 year old PRODUCER and HIS MORONIC USELESS VULTURE CHILDREN, Charles And David, are once again picking clean THE BONES of another wonderful character I created without even telling me I APOLOGIZE to the FANS, I never wanted ROCKY characters to be exploited by these parasites By the way, I have nothing but respect for my true friend, Dolph L

Dolph Lundgren stated that he believed a spinoff might be in the works just last year. (He obviously proved correct). Lawton, who worked on the original 1976 film, is said to be writing the new script, which will focus on Ivan Drago, who received a redemption arc in Creed II.

The third installment of the Michael B. Jordan-led franchise has been shot and is currently in post-production. However, Creed III has recently encountered a snag as it was postponed from November 2022 to March 2023. What is known is that the film will introduce a new sparring partner for Adonis.

As long as the Rocky franchise's producing team continues to branch out, Sylvester Stallone might continue to take jabs of his own. Stallone will not reprise his role in Creed III, and it's difficult to imagine that hell would ever reprise the role of the famous Philadelphia fighter again.
