Scree Walking in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a tricky exercise. With it, you will unlock additional locations to explore while running around the game, making it easier to find additional resources and fight additional monsters. Essentially, this ability allows you to run up falling sand, which would normally throw you down to the bottom without it.
In Xenoblade Chronicles 3, how do I get Scree Walking?
When you get to the Go Beyond Power quest, you'll be able to master the Scree Walking technique. This is a Hero Quest you'll do to recruit Teach, the Commander of Colony Gamma, who was in charge of Taion, Mio, and Sena before they joined forces with Noah, Lanz, and Eunie.
Returning to the Aetia Region and heading north of the Gura Flava Lowlands will lead you to Kyrie, an old friend of Mio, who is being attacked. Approach the battle to help her, and you'll complete the Going Beyond Power Hero quest.
Teach will ask you to stand up a sliding wall of sand and instruct you how to do it, called Scree Walking, on your first attempt. You can reuse the skill throughout the rest of the Hero quest and extend it to other areas of the game. At the end of the quest, Teach will join your party, giving you the chance to introduce the Thaumaturge class to the rest of your party.
