Elden Ring is a massive game, so great that it can be difficult to decide what to do next after clearing a major obstacle. General Radahn is one such crossroads in Elden Ring, where players have a few choices they can take after defeating the gravity-manipulating main boss.
After defeating General Radahn, a handful of new questlines can be added, and of course, there's always the option between using his Remembrance for equipment or Runes. If you're not sure whether or not you're on the verge of defeating Elden Ring, read this article.
Erik Petrovich's update: From the Dragonbarrow: After Radahn's death, many players wonder where to go or what to do next. Most likely, the path to Nokron.
Progress The Questlines of Blaidd and Alexander
Players who have defeated Starscourge Radahn will find themselves in an area with Blaidd, Alexander, and others all reminiscing about the fight. Here, you may progress both Blaidd and Alexander's questlines as well as other nearby NPCs, such as Jerren.
Alexander is seen scooping corpses into his pot body to absorb some of his strength, saddened that he was so easily cracked. Blaidd can be found next to the Carian Study Hall overlooking his former home of Jarburg.
In the newly-unlocked Nokron, Ranni's questline may be continued.
Ranni the Witch is a popular Elden Ring character for a number of reasons, and her questline is one of the finest in the game. It's not a task to try, but you should start by going to Ranni's Rise in northwest Liurnia just outside the mini-dungeon of Caria Manor.
The stars return to the Lands Between after General Radahn's death, no longer held back by the Starscourge's gravitational control. One star rises in the Mistwood, leading to the Siofra River's upper cliffs, leading to Nokron, the Eternal City. To continue Ranni's questline, look for the Fingerslayer Blade in the city hidden behind the Ancestral Woods Site of Lost Grace.
Unique Armaments (Or Runes) Made With His Remembrance
Rewards for Enia the Finger Reader with the Starscourge Greatsword, which scales with Int, or the Lion Greatbow may be consumed to gain 30,000 souls, enough to keep you over the edge for a few extra levels at this stage of Elden Ring.
The Starscourge Greatsword is two Greatswords in one, and it has the unique Starcaller Cry skill, which draws in enemies with gravitational force for a devastating double-bladed smash. The Lion Greatbow has the Radahn's Rain skill, which shoots a rain of arrows like in the boss fight.
Restore His Great Rune in the Dragonbarrow after defeating Radahn.
After General Radahn became infected with Scarlet Rot by Malenia, his Great Rune became wreathed in flames to avert his death. The Rune Arc must be activated at its corresponding Divine Tower to gain its effects, located high above the Dragonbarrow's Divine Tower of Caelid.
The easiest way to reach the Dragonbarrow is to take the teleporter behind the Third Church of Marika (in east Limgrave) to the Bestial Sanctum, which is conveniently located on the far northeast side of the Dragonbarrow. After crossing the Farum Greatbridge to the south, head underneath and follow the road past the Dragonbarrow Cave.
The Divine Tower should be visible from here: climb the cliff to avoid the decaying Dragons, turn left at the two dragons in the lake, and follow the outcropping. Then, look down and climb the outer wall of the Tower to the top; an elevator will take you to the top, although you must complete a significantly more difficult platforming section inside the Tower.
Head to Leyndell, the Royal Capital, for your second Great Rune.
General Radahn drops the third Great Rune, although there are plenty of Elden Ring players who have skipped Godrick or Rennala who wish to defeat the Starscourge faster. The barrier blocking the entrance to Leyndell and Royal Capital will be removed.
This is unusual because most players will face Godrick and Rennala in order to get access to the Royal Capital. If you've gone out of your way to avoid the first few major bosses of Elden Ring, defeating Radahn might mean gaining access to the Altus Plateau, Mt Gelmir, and Leyndell early - a super useful tactic for getting mid-game Bell Bearings early.
Elden Ring is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as Xbox One and Series X|S.
