Patton Oswalt, star of Marvel's Eternals, may have spoiled a sequel announcement.
As a prelude to what awaits the Eternals in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Oswalt appeared in a post-credit scene of the first movie as Pip the Troll alongside Harry Styles' Starfox.
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty was expected to play a key role in cosmic events in 2025, but a sequel announcement was not included in the MCU's Phase 5 lineup at Comic-Con International.
Due to a misunderstanding by Patton Oswalt during his appearance this week on NBC's TODAY, Kevin Feige and his colleagues are certainly working on more for The Eternals with director Chloe Zhao.
"They have announced that there will be a sequel to Eternals. Chloe Zhao is going to direct it," said the actor. "So, hopefully there will be more adventures of Starfox and Pip."
Patton, perhaps not after that spoiler!

Kevin Feige stated recently that "the adventures of" Starfox (or Eros) and Pip are extremely important to Marvel's future in the Multiverse Saga and beyond.
At Disney's D23 convention next month, Marvel will display its slate alongside Lucasfilm and Pixar.
Last year, the first Eternals received mixed reactions from fans and critics, though director Chloe Zhao has said she anticipated the film to challenge MCU viewers.
"The film itself is about an existential crisis, both for humanity and God. I think we definitely felt [a split opinion] was on the way," she told Empire.
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will be released on May 2, 2025. The film is now available on DVD, Blu-ray, 3D, 4K, and digital download, as well as on Disney+.
