The Pokemon Company held a special showcase this past week that highlighted a number of new gameplay announcements for the next mainline titles, including Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Other new Pokemon were also shown during the showcase, including the doughy dog Pokemon Fidough and a regional version of Wooper.
All of this information includes other information regarding the many NPC trainers that players will encounter throughout the Paldea Region, such as the ice-type leader Grusha. However, one part some fans may have overlooked is with a certain trainer class that can be seen making a reference to the Unova Region.
A user named DaddyClickbait posted a new design for the Pokemaniac trainer class, a recurring NPC type that players can encounter. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's incarnation shows them wearing a long-sleeved shirt with a familiar symbol, which originates from Pokemon Black 2 and White 2.
Pokestar Studios was a location in the Unova Region of the fifth generation where players could take part in filming about Pokemon. This includes the player choosing a scenario and participating in a set of staged battles. Depending on the results of these battles, the film can have a wide range of consequences, from the good ending to the bizarre.
The fan who saw this Easter Egg was ecstatic to see if, as it was a cool feature about the Unova Region thrown into Scarlet and Violet, making the entire universe feel connected. This is likely to be a hint about an upcoming Pokemon Legends game or sequel.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available on Nintendo Switch on November 18.
