After the show's official premiere date was announced, some fans are saying that they won't be watching the next season of Dancing With the Stars.
Season 31 of the ballroom dance competition has been announced, including the return of all four judges, as well as the availability of the program on Disney+. The release date for the new season of the show is September 19, 2022.
For the first time, the show will be available on Disney+, and some fans are reluctant to make the switch.
Fans Say They Wont Watch the Show
Dancing With The Stars #DWTS has shared a post about it (@dancingwiththestars)
After the recent announcements, some people took to Twitter to express their thoughts about the coming season, with many saying they will not be watching the program.
According to one tweet, not everyone has Disney+. So now those who do not will not be able to watch the show. Thank you so much., Good thing I stopped watching years ago. But I'm saddened for those who still watch #DWTS but don't have #DisneyPlus. It's not fair at all.
One person replied, "I've never had or will never have cable or any streaming service." #DWTS manages to screw over viewers once again. Can't stand Tyra's arrogance either.
Others believe it's the host that makes them refuse to watch.
One tweet reads that I will not be watching Alfonso [Ribeiro] anymore. I gave up watching the minute you all brought Tyra Banks in. She made the show about her and her modeling career. DWTS gave up on the fans, so im done.
Others want to cancel the season because they dont want to pay for the new streaming service.
People have been watching DWTS since season 1 for free but now it is moved to #DisneyPlus, which is not free. One tweet states that people are already paying for multi-service services.
Another wrote, "It's a shame I won't be watching." I refuse to pay for Disney plus. This is unfair for people who can't afford it. And because of Tyra Banks.
Another viewer has been lost, and I have followed you since Season 1, according to a tweet.
Some Fans Had Questions About The New Season
Some Dancing With the Stars followers took to the comments section to ask questions and said they won't watch the show after the official teaser for the new season of the show was published on Instagram.
One person wrote: Too many bad changes. I'm done.
One person wished there would be a different way to watch the show, since Disney+ will no longer be available to people outside the United States and Canada.
Will the rest of the world be able to see it over YouTube? one comment reads.
Others have called for previous seasons to be available on Disney+.
Season 31 of Dancing With the Stars will launch on Disney+ on Monday, September 19, 2022. Derek Hough, Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, and Carrie Ann Inaba will return, along with Tyra Banks and new co-host Alfonso Ribeiro.
