The 2022 Dota Pro Circuit is back for another major as the Summer Tour comes to an end, and teams are aiming to reach The International in 2022.

When it comes to TI11 direct invites, many of the best teams in the world will compete in the PGL Arlington Major, which will run from August 4 to 14.

This is the first time teams from all six regions are participating in a Valve sponsored event this season due to ongoing visa concerns that have affected multiple rosters. However, the three teams in attendance are hoping to disrupt the Western-dominated seasonal results.

Format & prizing

Due to Xtreme Gaming's withdrawal, the Arlington Major will have a slightly reduced roster of 17 teams to start the Group Stage. This will have no impact on the event as a whole, but it does mean that one group will have an additional team, meaning they will all have to play an extra best-of-two to finalize their results.

The top four teams from each group will advance to the playoffs through the lower bracket at the end of the Group Stage.

Up until the grand finals, the playoffs will be a standard double-elimination bracket with best-of-three series.

A total of $500,000 and 4,570 DPC points are on the line. Only the top eight teams overall will be awarded any recognition, requiring teams to place highly in order to increase their chances of winning one of the remaining eight TI11 direct invites.
