As an ex-Disney CEO joins the worlds of DC, there will be a MCU-style '10-year plan' ...

Alan Horn, Disney's former film director, hopes to transform the DC Worlds by advising on a decade-long plan similar to that of Marvel Studios.

David Zaslav, the CEO of Warner Bros Discovery, has assured investors that the unveiling of Horn's participation would be in good hands in the future.

"These are brands that are well-known throughout the world. We've done a fresh start. We've restructured the business where we're going to focus, where there will be a team with a 10-year plan focusing just on DC. We believe we can create a much more sustainable business.

"It's very similar to the structure that Alan Horn, Bob Iger, and Kevin Feige constructed very effectively at Disney," he said (via The Hollywood Reporter).

"We believe we can create a much stronger, long-term growth business out of DC. As part of that, we are going to focus on quality. We will not release any film until it's ready."

Black Adam, The Flash, and Shazam are among the films slated to be released next year! Zaslav said during the shareholders meeting that WB is "very excited" for audiences to see them.

"We think they are fantastic, and we believe we can improve them."

"A number of films will be released with shorter window periods and with different marketing campaigns. We'll always be flexible, and the focus will always be on theatrical movies.

"The aim is to strengthen the DC brand. To strengthen the DC characters." But also, our job is to safeguard the DC brand, and that's what we'll do.

Will the gap between DC and the Marvel Cinematic Universe finally be narrowed? We trust in Horn.
