Overwatch 2 beta testing are over, according to Blizzard ...

After two OW2 betas, the Overwatch 2 hero roster has continued to grow, but we will not see any new faces enter the fray before the release, since beta testing has officially come to an end.

Players have been able to test out the terrifying Junker Queen as well as the stunning Sojourn, according to Blizzard. There will be no more Overwatch 2 beta testing in the run-up to the launch, instead focusing on other things in preparation for the big day.

Jon Spector, Overwatch's commercial director and Blizzard vice president, was quick to dismiss Twitter rumors of a third beta. In a tweet from August 4, he states today is only two months till Overwatch 2s launches! We know players are eager to participate in a third public beta.

We will continue to test OW2 daily internally, but we were hesitant to schedule further public Beta tests. With all of the valuable feedback we received from our alpha and two public beta tests, we will be focusing our efforts on releasing the best game possible on October 4.

The bad side of it is that Blizzard is ensuring that the game launches in the finest condition possible. Sure, you will have to wait to try out this elusive fox hero (Support mains, I understand your pain), but it adds to the excitement.

Following a series of substantial delays, the Overwatch 2 release date is currently scheduled for October 4th. Be sure to check out our Overwatch 2 tier list to help you dominate.
