The star-studded line-up for the 2022 series of Strictly Come Dancing is starting to fill up as another well-known person has been confirmed for the show.
When the popular BBC dance competition returns for its twentieth series, Kaye Adams will replace her presenting duties for dancing shoes.
On Friday's (August 5) episode of the ITV daytime show, the star is well-known for hosting Loose Women. She revealed the news along with her fellow panellists.
Adams expressed her desire to participate in the next series of Strictly Come Dancing, and that the competition would be a way of commemorating her achievement.
"I promised myself that my last year of my fifties would be memorable, and I can't think of a better way of doing it than showing the world my two left feet."
Adams is well-known for her role on Loose Women but also hosts the morning program on BBC Radio Scotland. Adams has worked for various broadcasters including STV, BBC, ITV, and Channel 5. This year, she launched her own podcast, How To Be 60, with Kaye Adams.
Adams will not be the first Loose Women star to throw some shapes on the Strictly Come Dancing floor, although Judi Love and Ruth Langsford both participated in the competition previously.
Three other celebrities have already been confirmed for the show, and more are expected to follow.
Will Mellor, who plays Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh, and BBC Radio 2 star Richie Anderson have all played in the 2022 Strictly Come Dancing show.
When the show returns to screens this autumn, each well-known figure will be joined up with a Strictly professional.
Strictly Come Dancing is available on BBC One.
