Florence Pugh was the first actor to join the Dune: Part 2 cast who wasn't in the 2021 film, according to the sequel's cast, who include Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgard, and Dave Bautista. Florence Pugh's announcement that she'll be reading Dune this week is an example of a strange timing, as Dune: Part 2 is now well underway. The film's production started in the middle of last month, and the announcement was made with a photo of the feature's first clapperboard:

Florence Pugh is busy with a number of projects in the pipeline, so it's nice to see her taking some time to recuperate between performances and promotions. In addition to working on Dune: Part 2, she'll soon be preparing to do press for Olivia Wilde's next film Don't Worry Darling, which will premiere at the Venice Film Festival next month.

Dune: Part 2 is now scheduled to premiere exclusively on November 17, 2023, following a change in its release date last month.
