After its introduction with season two of the Whitley LMG, Call of Duty: Vanguard introduced its first new light machine gun to Warzone.
Activision claims that this LMG is highly customizable despite its age, and it plays a minor role in its basic form, with the highest damage per shot compared to its fourVanguardcompetitors. And although its slow fire rate can irritate impatient Operators, its low recoil can quickly eliminate targets. This predictable pattern keeps it steady when firing out to the second-best effective range in its class.
The Whitley is a heavy gun that is slow to transfer. It's also a large magazine, and can be easily equipped with attachments to buff it as a long-range weapon in the primary slot to pair with a close-range SMG option for Caldera.
The Whitley is a decent LMG, although it isn't very popular in the meta right now. With the correct attachments, it can be turned into a fun weapon to post up and spray with on any of Warzones three maps.
Here's how to train the Whitley for Warzone success.
The best Whitley LMG loadout in Warzone
- Muzzle: G28 Compensator
- Barrel: 28 Gracey Mk. 9
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Stock: CGC R4
- Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip
- Ammunition: Lengthened
- Rear Grip: Leather Grip
- Perk: Hardscope
- Perk 2: Fully Loaded
This is the time, as always with long-range loadout guns in Warzone, to sharpen the Whitleys accuracy and range. That's all that matters for an LMG, especially when it's a walking rifle with a large magazine.
With its recoil, the Whitley will be a competitive choice in Caldera, although it does not quite match up to the Bren yet, which might change with another update or two. For the time being, it's worthwhile to try it out for a moment to see how it compares to the Bren in BR.
