The new trailer for Chainsaw Mans dissects the film and confirms the premiere in October ...

On Friday, MAPPA unveiled the new teaser for its upcoming Chainsaw Man anime, which will introduce the series' Japanese voice cast, and will launch in October, as it has done for many other MAPPA anime in the past, including Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan Final Season 2.

Makima, one of the series' main characters flanked by two Devil hunters, walks into a warehouse filled with mutilated bodies before progressing into a sequence of shots of protagonist Denji, his fellow Devil hunters Aki Hayakawa and Power, and Makima going about their everyday lives. The film ends with a montage of a now-transformed Denji dodges attacks and dismantles Devils with his chainsaw hands.

Denji, a teenage orphan living in a world inhabited by Devils, supernatural monsters born out of human fears, is followed by Tatsuki Fujimoto's critically acclaimed and ultra-violent action horror manga.

Denji is forced to work as a Devil hunter in order to pay back the debt he owes his father. Denji is betrayed and left for dead, but Denji forms a contract with Pochita, fusing the creature with his dying heart to become Chainsaw Man, a terrifyingly powerful Devil-human hybrid with the ability to whip chainsaws from his body.

The first part of the manga, the Public Safety arc, which ended on December 14, 2020, will be adapted by the anime. New chapters are published every Tuesday and available on Shonen Jump.
