Dmitriy dimasick Matvienko, a Kazakh VALORANT footballer, has been signed by Team Liquid to fill the gap left by Aurimas Dreamas Zablockis' departure in July. Emil Sandgren, a former Guild Sweden head coach, has been appointed as the new replacement.

The LCQ tournament features Liquid, Guild, Acend, Natus Vincere, OG LDN UTD, BBL Esports, and M3 Champions.

Dreamas left the organization after only one month with the team following the benching of Travis L1NK Mendoza in April 2022. Dimasick had been waiting for a new opportunity in free agency since he resigned from Team Finest.

The European squad had been without a skipper since May when Connor Sliggy Blomfield resigned. Liquid had a new member in August 2020.

Dimasick and eMIL will debut under the Liquid banner at the EMEA VCT LCQ, which will run from August 7 to 14.
