KRAFTON Inc., the game studio that has developed such hits as PUBG: Battlegrounds, Tera, and the Subnautica franchise, is working on a new game that has only been referred to so far as Unannounced Project on the website. The game will be based on the popular Korean tale The Bird That Tears.
The game's base is a best-selling fantasy novel by Korean novelist Yeongdo Lee. The narrative was published in a series of four volumes that focus on each of the four races Human, Rekkon, Tokebi, and Nhaga, all connected by some sort of an event.
The game intends to convey the story in a fresh and different way, by bringing it to life through unique races, beautiful landscapes, and moving, immersive and tragic scenes.
Ian McCaig, a conceptual artist for Hollywood films such as The Avengers, Harry Potter, and Terminator, has been signed by KRAFTON. His imaginative work will aid the team in establishing the visual direction for the new game. Visitors who want to see McCaig's work can visit the Unannounced Projects website.
Although KRAFTON has now given gamers an overview of their plans, the actual game is still a long way off. The organization is currently recruiting talented individuals to develop the game, and it will likely take many years before fans see a trailer for it.
The Unannounced Project being revealed so early in its development process, fans will likely receive many updates from the KRAFTON team.
