Garurumon and Monzaemon are the bosses in Digimon Survive that youll fight in a single fight alongside their allies. Make no mistake, this pair can still ruin you if youve beaten them up until this point. So save before you go to battle.
In Part 5, how do you defeat Garurumon and Monzaemon?
This boss battle begins with you acquiring a few Digimon before you settle in to face Garurumon, Monzaemon, and all of the other Digimon on the field. You should choose your strongest Digimon for this fight, especially ones that can digivolve. Every enemy is at a higher level than you are used to for this fight, so there's no point in bringing a weak link on the team.
Focus first on Garurumon and the two Togemon on the left-hand side of the battlefield; then, when theyre defeated, concentrate on Monzaemon and his Gotsumon allies. Below, we outline the most effective strategies to defeat these Digimon.
Garurumon is hard hitting and has an attack that will strike two of your Digimon at the same time if they stand too close together. However, it is weak to water damage, so move any Digimon that can deal it behind or towards Garurumon and strike it as hard as possible. While you concentrate on keeping the Togemon at bay in the corner where they spawn, you may always bring in more Digimon to help with Garurumon.
If you notice that your Digimons' health is getting too low, use healing items and talk to them to boost their stats. The objective should be to beat Garurumon as quickly as possible, then deal with the Togemon, if they have not already been defeated, and line your Digimon up ready to face Monzaemon.
If you follow our advice and attack Garurumon first, Monzaemon will increase its attack power and its own. It's important to keep your water attacks to a minimum to avoid hitting any Digimon that are nearing yours. Some Digimon will require to be sacrificed, but also give yourself time to use healing items when necessary.
Monzaemon isn't susceptible to any damage type, but is capable of fire and electric damage. Use the Digimon that deal those damage types as opportunities to heal or boost stats, and hit hard with your other Digimon until you win. This battle will be tense unless youre incredibly overpowered for the fight, but keep moving towards the side or behind the boss.
