Patton Oswalt Asks Rachel Dratch For Help Catfishing His Son in 'I Love My Dad' Clip [Exclusive] ...

Collider is pleased to share an exclusive clip from the cringe comedy film I Love My Dad, featuring actors Patton Oswalt and Rachel Dratch, on the same day that the film makes its theatrical debut.

Oswalt, who plays Chuck, and Dratch, who plays Erica, meet on a date that transitions into Oswalt attempting to persuade Dratch to help him "prank call" his son Franklin, played by James Morosini, and he questions why he wouldn't recognize Erica's voice at the time.

Franklin finds himself in a lie that continues to unravel as he seeks to meet her in real life when he is concerned about his son's happiness.

Morosini is also the director, with the story being based on his real life experience. The film made its debut earlier this year at SXSW, earning both the Audience Award and a Grand Jury Award.

I Love My Dad will be released in cinemas today, August 5, and will be released in cinemas on August 12 as well as the official synopsis of the upcoming cringe comedy film.

'I Love My Dad' follows Chuck (Patton Oswalt), a hopelessly estranged father who desperately wants to reconnect with his troubled son, Franklin (Morosini). But things start to spiral when Franklin falls for this imaginary girl (Claudia Sulewski) and wants nothing more than to meet her in person.
