Blumhouses The Black Phone is set to be released this month on Blu-ray and digital. The film starring Ethan Hawke and young actor Mason Thames is a supernatural horror film from director Scott Derrickson that was successful at the box office and received positive reviews on its release. It is currently on Rotten Tomatoes with a score of 83%.

Finney, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy, is kidnapped by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement. He discovers a disconnected phone on the other side, and the killers' previous victims' voices, as well as a feature commentary from Derrickson.

The featurettes cover Ethan Hawke's Evil Turn, a deep dive into The Grabber's performance, and how Hawke was able to adapt the narrative and achieve the director's vision. The production design is further explored in the Devil in the Design featurette, which covers set design, costumes, and makeup.

The film stars Jeremy Davies, James Ransone, and Madeleine McGraw, as well as Hawke as The Grabber and Thames as Finney. The script was created by Derrickson and his long-time collaborator C. Robert Cargill.
