On Friday, MAPPA released a new trailer for its upcoming Chainsaw Man anime, which will premiere in October, as it has done for many other MAPPA anime in the past, including Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan Final Season 2.

Makima, one of the series' main characters, accompanied by two Devil hunters, as she enters a warehouse filled with mutilated bodies, before escalating into a montage of a now-transformed Denji dodges attacks and dismantles Devils with his chainsaw hands.

Denji, a teenage orphan living in a world populated by Devils, supernatural monsters born out of human fears, is followed by Tatsuki Fujimoto's critically acclaimed and ultra-violent action-horror manga.

Denji is forced to work as a Devil hunter in order to pay back the debt incurred by his absence. Pochita is poisoned and decomposed, and Denji enters a contract with him, forming Chainsaw Man, a frighteningly powerful Devil-human hybrid with the ability to cut chainsaws from his body.

The first part of the manga, the Public Safety arc, that ended on December 14, 2020, will be adapted in the anime. The second arc of the Chainsaw Man manga has just begun, with new chapters published every Tuesday and available to read on Shonen Jump.
