Bungie has been gearing up for what is expected to be a busy August. Later this month, a new season will be announced, along with the much-anticipated Arc subclass reworks, although for many, the majority of the attention will be focused on the upcoming Showcase.
Iron Banner will be replaced by a new Crucible mode, which is a twist on Clash, which is a team deathmatch style mode. However, at a 5 kill streak, the player becomes primed and must continue killing to avoid a countdown from the other team.
For the time being, Xur, a weekend merchant who is returning in Destiny 2, read this guide for his most recent weekend location, along with information on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he's brought for the weekend of August 5, 2022.
Where is Xur?
This weekend, Destiny 2 players can find Xur overlooking the Winding Cove on the EDZ.
Travel to the Winding Cove area in a flash and immediately go to the back of the Fallen's patrol. Here, Xur is seen standing on a ledge not too far from a crashed ship.
Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
The usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear are still offered by Xur's role. Not only are quests required to acquire a second fated engram, but they're also required to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players may earn a new cipher by defeating strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches.
Xur continues to sell additional equipment outside his usual assortment. Legendary Weapons and Armor are now available for sale for Legendary Shards and Glimmer.
Warlock gauntlets in Aeon Soul
Bungie reworked the set to make them more viable, even if they weren't originally considered the worst exotic in the game. They're infinitely more useful than they were, even when it's difficult to get things done.
Using a finisher on an elite opponent, heavy ammo is dropped. Sect of Force is for damage dealers, temporarily increasing player reload speed and weapon swap speed after rapid precision strikes.

- Resilience +9
- Recovery +16
- Discipline +2

Hunter leg armor - Lucky Pants
The Lucky Pants are back in stock this week, an exotic that has seen an increase in usage due to some of the changes made in Season 15. In addition, hand cannons are ready faster and have a bonus to accuracy after switching to them, making them very useful for all of the Hand Cannons that Destiny 2 has.
This week's stat distribution is interesting due to its extremely high mobility and extremely low resilience and recovery, two attributes which many players appreciate. However, the roll is only 67 in total, so they may be worthwhile picking up and modifying to compensate for the Resilience and Recovery deficits.
Stat Values: Enhanced in Void
- Mobility +28
- Resilience +3
- Recovery +2
- Discipline +16
- Intellect +6
- Strength +12
Titan leg armor for peacekeepers
The Peacekeepers are back in stock for Titan players after a while, mainly because they are a hit or miss with players because they only benefit one play style. It is called Mecha Holster, and it allows players to prepare them instantly, increases speed while wielding one.
Despite the fact, the roll this week isn't particularly good, only bringing in 58 players, which is unusually low for an Xur exotic. That's why players can safely skip them.
Stat Values: Solar Enhanced
- Mobility +3
- Resilience +3
- Recovery +24

- Intellect +13

The Tractor Cannon is capable of booping and bopping enemies due to its unique feature, which is Repulsor Force. It not only pushes enemies away, but also suppresses them, making them vulnerable to incoming damage, especially void damage. Not only that, it gets a temporary boost in performance and handling.
Players have continued to rave about this weapon, especially within PvP style modes like Gambit and the Crucible. With a bigger hitbox and the ability to shoot opponents off a stage and also suppress them, it remains a popular choice and worth grabbing.
