Characters in Persona 6 should use less standard Arcana ...

Persona 6, the next main series title in the popular Japanese role-playing game series, will likely continue the tarot theme first established in the original Revelations: Persona. Each playable character will fight using a Persona associated with one of the Major Arcana from the tarot deck. However, Persona 6 should not simply stick to the standard 22 Major Arcana from the popular Rider-Waite tarot deck.

The Fool Arcana has been the protagonist of the previous three Persona games, while the Magician Arcana has been their close sidekick, the Lovers and Priestess have both been female characters who may be love interests, and the Hierophant has been an older male authority figure.

Thoth Tarot: Adjustment & Art

The Thoth tarot deck is an updated version of the traditional Rider-Waite tarot deck created by Aleister Crowley and painted by Frieda Harris. Crowley wished to change the Major Arcana in order to more closely match the signs of the zodiac and the Hebrew alphabet. He renamed some Arcana and assigned Lust, Crowley's replacement for Strength, to the villainous Tohru Adachi.

When constructing the 22 Major Arcana for the deck, Crowley used two additional variations: Justice was replaced with "Adjustment," and Temperance with "Art." Both of these might work well as Arcana relating to a Persona character, as Adjustment might represent an individual who has to adapt to a new situation, while Art might represent a creative character. In Persona 6, the Justice Arcana recently played a significant role as the Arcana representing Goro Akechi.

Visconti-Sforza Tarot: Charity

The Visconti-Sforza cards, which are constructed of several incomplete decks rather than a single deck with 22 consistent Major Arcana, were ordered by Filippo Visconti, the Duke of Milan, and his son-in-law Francesco Sforza. Faith was the Arcana assigned to Kasumi Yoshizawa, a new playable character in Persona 5 Strikers, a musou-style spinoff, who represented the protagonists' greatest hope for resolv

It is possible to include a character in Persona 6 who represents the Charity Arcana, such as a philanthropist, a caretaker, a first responder, or even a criminal or delinquent who performs community service. Charity has sometimes been translated as Love, thus a potential love interest for Persona 6.

Tarot Nouveau: Elements & Seasons

The Tarot Nouveau's version of The World, which is similar to the Bourgeois Tarot, may enhance the game's content by making certain it is more accessible to the average person.

Only a few variations of the Hierophant have appeared in Persona 5 Royal. In Persona 5, Tarot, the Councillor Arcana represented Takuto Maruki; while Lust, this Arcana was renamed to Apostle in the English version of the game.

Persona 6 will be released on a previously unscheduled date.
