The development of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor began only a few months ago, when Respawn and EA announced a trailer focusing on the empire's might and dangers, as well as the distant solitude surrounding Cal Kestis. Fans left with more questions than answers, such as who is playing the bacta tank in the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor teaser, but the project has remained mute.
Although the PlayStation Store listing for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor set the release date for the game, it has received the most attention. It may be an unintentional leak of its release date, or it may have been a simple miscommunication related to the actual release date, or any number of things. If this is true, it's definitely time that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor show off its intent for Cal Kestis.
According to GamesRadar+, this assertion may or may not be true. EA currently has one game set to release by the end of the fourth quarter (March 2023). This game may be a reference to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
Analyst Doug Creutz of Cowen and Company asked whether or not, regarding this unannounced but listed title, "do we assume that, therefore, this is not the Star Wars game?" Wilson's reply was brief and direct, stating that "I think the recommendation would be to not assume anything."
Wilson's answer here is ambiguous, and this is most likely intentional. He doesn't state whether this or the Star Wars game are separate entities or that they are the same, but fans will likely know what this title is sooner rather than later. Early 2023 will be here soon enough, and hopefully, EA will announce a release date for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor before then.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is scheduled to launch in 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
