Bridgerton, a smash hit Netflix series produced by Shondaland, has just released a new behind-the-scenes look at one of the most talked about scenes from the second season of the show. As we await the third season of the series, the new 'Inside the Scenes' feature shows us all of the work that goes into such magical moments as the Hearts and Flowers Ball scene from Season 2.
The new video, which has been released on the Shondaland website, depicts the effort that went into the dance choreography for the Hearts and Flowers ball. It also includes interviews with the series' choreographer Jack Murphy, along with the actors for the season's main couple, Kate, played by Simone Ashley, and Anthony, played by Jonathan Bailey.
Murphy said, "it's an extraordinary ball." "It's one of the most challenging dance routines that we've ever performed in Bridgerton," he continued.
"I think the sensation of the movement is something that I'm quite passionate about," Jonathan Bailey added, and for Anthony and Kate, it's a real moment of sort of explosive sort of volcanic sexual urges coming forward, but in a way that they can't otherwise communicate."
The new video provides valuable information on the season's main tension, and the ever-popular enemies-to-lovers trope. And it's clear that the show's intention to emphasize physical tension paid off, as the second season wore out its charm.
The third season of the series is currently in development and will focus on Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton). At the end of last season, Penelope was left in a pretty precarious position after it was revealed that she is the famous gossip columnist Lady Whistledown.
Bridgerton is based on Julia Quinn's book series. The series is produced by Shondaland, an artistic collaboration with Shonda Rhimes.
