Chad Michael Murray played preppy bad boy Tristan on Gilmore Girls before finding himself in an iconic love triangle on One Tree Hill. He recently reunited with fellow Gilmore Girls actor Scott Patterson, who played Luke. It's a battle of the beards.

Chad Michael Murray was only cast in 11 Gilmore Girls seasons as Tristan Dugray, so his tenure didn't overlap with Patterson's by too much. Murray certainly didn't have the kind of beard that he'll be sporting for Sullivan's Crossing two decades ago, and there would have been no competition in a beard-off twenty years ago as there is today.
Gilmore Girls celebrated its 21st anniversary in 2021, and to this day it is one of the best dramedies available on Netflix. Is it possible that another installment of the series might be made sometime in the future?
Patterson and Murray have been close throughout the Gilmore Girls career; the two discussed why Jared Padalecki's work on Gilmore Girls was the best. The two went on to direct the remake of House of Wax in 2009; they still chat from time to time.
