Halo Infinite will release Ranked Doubles later this month ...

Find yourself a partner, spartan. According to a dev post released today, Halo Infinite will add a Ranked Doubles playlist as part of an Aug. 23 update.

The Ranked Doubles playlist will be released two weeks after the next Drop Pod update, scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 9, meaning that the Ranked Doubles playlist will officially launch on Aug. 23. The Ranked Doubles playlist will also be accompanied by the social Team Doubles playlist for twice the 2v2 fun.

Since the launch of Halo Infinite, this will be the first new ranked playlist.

Most of the August 9 Drop Pod update includes foundational features for enhanced quality-of-life features, such as region selection and the ability for 343 to easily implement more Ranked playlists moving forward, according to the Drop Pod preview post. The Halo Infinite team also stated that they will continue experimenting with adding more ranked playlists after the launch.

When the Aug. 9 Drop Pod update is released, fans will receive the full patch notes, which will give them a better idea of the maps and game modes that will be included in the Ranked Doubles and social Team Doubles playlists.

The Aug. 9 Drop Pod will also include all helmet visors to be able to work on all armor cores.
